Gunung Rinjani was designated National Park by Ministry of Forestry on May 23, 1997 covering area of 41,330 hectares. Administratively, the Gunung Rinjani National Park area lying over 3 districts of Lombok Island, West Lombok, East Lombok and Central Lombok. Gunung Rinjani is Indonesia's second highest peak (3,726m). For the people of Lombok, Sasak (adat Wetu Telu) and Balinese alike, the volcano is revered as sacred place and the abode of gods. Within the spectacular crater, the Segara Anak Lake is the destination of many pilgrims who place offerings in the water and bathe away disease in the nearby hot springs.

Gateway To Gunung Rinjani:
1. Senaru is a village located on the slopes of Mount Rinjani stretches up a hillside Spur along a winding road above Bayan. It is a scenic 2.5 hours drive from Mataram.
2. Sembalun Lawang is a place belongs to East Lombok District located at the high of 1,1 56m and very picturesque also a promise of spectacular scenery, known as best way to reach peak of Mount Rinjani. It takes 3,5 hours drive from Mataram

What to See:
1. Sendang Gile waterfalls in Senaru, Traditional Village (Senaru and Sembalun), Lake Segara Anak, Mount Baru Jari (new formed mount) and hot spring.
2. Wildlife: Monkey (Long-tailed macaques, Silver Leaf and black monkey), Koau Kiau, White Cockatoo, Eagle, Elk etc
3. Trees: Cemara Trees, Aloe Trees, Edelweiss, orchid etc.

Climbing is NOT advisable during the rainy season (November to March)
 

(03 Days / 02 Nights) - SEGARA ANAK CRATER LAKE

Day 01 HOTEL- SENARU - CRATER'S RIM

Early morning from hotel in Senggigi Area to be met and transferred to SENARU Village known as Base Camp 1, from here walk up to get Base Camp III at the height of 2,500 meters above sea level where lunch will be prepared and served, it will be reached for about 5 - 6 hours walk. Continued walking to the rim of SEGARA ANAK Lake. Dinner prepared and served at tent.

Day 02 : SEGARA ANAK CRATER LAKE

After early breakfast, climb down to SEGARA ANAK Crater Lake for a fantastic vie of the lake where in the middle gently standing new formed mount called MOUNT BARU that is also possible to be conquered. The other side of the mount may be visited like hot spring, the steamy GUA SUSU and PANCORAN EMAS "the golden fountain". Lunch and dinner is prepared and serve at around tent.

Day 03 : CRATER'S RIM - SENARU - HOTEL

After early breakfast, walk downward to Base Camp 11 where light Brunch (Breakfast Lunch) prepared and served, and proceed to SENARU village (Base Camp 1). On the way to hotel stop at SENDANG GILE waterfalls for fresh water bathing.

(03 Days / 02 Nights) - SEGARA ANAK LAKE PLUS PACKAGE

Day 01 HOTEL - SENARU

In the morning leaving hotel to get SENARU Village on the way visit GUNUNGSARI morning market, PUSUK preservation and monkey forest, from Bangsal Harbour with a boat sailing to GILI AIR Island for swimming or snorkeling in the blue crystal water and beautiful Linder sea garden. Lunch is served on box at Gili Air. Sailing back to Bangsal Harbour and to be Continued drive to SEGENTER Typical traditional Sasak Tribe Village, the villager have own believe called Moslem Waktu Telu or "Moslem Three times". Check in hotel at Senaru, dinner and overnight.

Day 02 SENARU - CRATER'S RIM

After early breakfast, from SENARU known as Base Camp I preparing to start climbing to the mount Rinjani and walking Lip to get Base Camp III at the height of 2500 metres above sea level where lunch will be prepared and served, it will be reach after 5 - 6 hours walk. Continuing walking to Crater's Rim, dinner and overnight.

Day 03 SEGARA ANAK CRATER LAKE

After early breakfast, descending to SEGARA ANAK Crater Lake for a fantastic view of the lake where in the middle standing gently MOUNT BARU or "new formed mount" that is also possible to be conquered. The other side of the mount may be visited like hot spring, the steamy GUA SUSU and PANCORAN EMAS or "golden fountain". Lunch and dinner prepared and served at the tent (crater's rim).

Day 04 CRATER'S RIM - SENARU

After early breakfast walk downward to Base Camp 11 for a short rest and light Brunch (Breakfast Lunch) prepared and served. Proceeded to SENARU Village (Base Camp 1). On the way to hotel stop at SENDANG GILE Waterfalls for fresh water bathing.
